First Three Months In Canada                                                                                                                      After landing in Toronto, renting a flat at Don Mills, and preparing our new flat with comfortable furniture, I decided to join a community centre to improve my english language and contact other newcomers in Canada. In a short time i made many friends from different places.We shared together our life in Canada and gained knowledges about many places in Toronto.                                              As a class we visited Toronto City Hall, Toronto Zoo, Roy Thomson Hall and Honest Ed's, where we enjoyed shopping .                                                                                                                                 Every day here, i learn something new and share my new life with my friends. I am looking forward to a successful future in Canada.

ROY THOMSON HALL

Last Monday I went to Roy Thomson Hall with my teacher and my colleagues of Community        Microskills Development Centre.                                                                                                                 It was a nice trip, starting at 10 am where we met all together at the underground station. We headed for downtown. It was cold and raining, but we enjoyed a nice trip down the most famous streets of Toronto downtown: also we took many pictures.We reached Roy Thomson Hall at 11.30 am: they gave us the programme. the concert started at 12 am. We enjoyed listening to the music performed by Hamilton Children's and High Park Choirs. This concert was made possible through the generous support of Edwards Charitable Foundation. The programme ended at 1 pm with a standing ovation from the audience.                                                                                                                                                      We were all happy as it was the first time to visit one of the most famous Halls of Toronto. Many thanks to our teacher who offered to us this nice trip to Toronto downtown, which helps us to build a better future.

8-Jessica is a CGA ,she had worked for an accounting practice for 5 days.I had a letter from Jessica ,she moved to Vancouver,she plans to start her own practice next year,thats why she's making contacts ; Manufacturers conventions,Local businessmens ,and CGA association meetings.She is successful,she hopes to find new clients.                                                                                                                              9-Every Saturday or Sunday i visit my sister Annie.She's a chef,she s a good cook.Chili is my favourate meal for lunch,that's why she makes chili to me.She starts cooking in the morning using a slow cookers.She cooks the beef by adding onions and peppers,the chilli will be ready in 4 hours ,when i get there.                                                                                                                                                           10-Every Saturday or Sunday,i eat lunch with my sister.My sister s chili is delicious because she puts sharedded cheese on the top.There's toasted bread with garlic butter.She lets me rest for an hour before starting to paint the washroom.I work and she has a nap. She's making chili for next weekend and asks me to change the colour of living room.   

6- Last Sunday,my family went on a picnic day trip to the park of Niagra Lake.We took food with us .We walked on the main street,we stopped at a winery near the town and bought wine bottles.It was the first time to taste ice wine.The win bottles were very small,sweety and expensive.                             7-My friend Jessica learned accounting in school and works for a small manufacturing company in Mississauga.She's responsible for;accounts payable,accounts receivable,and general ledger.The pay is not goog,that's why she is taking online courses in her spare time to become a CGA,it will take 5 years,Jessica wants to have her own business some day.

A South Asian immigrant woman breaks tradition by driving a big 18-wheel truck. Gill came to Canada in 2000. Fifteen months after arriving in Canada, she got her license and bought a car. Gill challenged her cousin,passed the exam on the third time,and got a trucker's license. Gill drives the Toronto-Montreal route that takes six to seven hours, but in bad weather it takes up to twelve hour; she sleeps in the cab of the truck for five hours before she drives back to Toronto. Gill supports her family in  Punjab by sending money to them every month. Actually, Gill is a strong woman,and her family is proud of   her.            

Fake MBA Executive Gets Demoted

If I were Ontario's Minister for Health, I would:

1. Offer more healthcare facilities for Canadian seniors over 65 years old.
2. Work hard with my team to prevent and control infections.
3.  Increase thenumber of physicians in all departments to face the growing population in Canada.
